Use it up!

I blogged previously about some thoughts on the recycling lobby. And now it’s time to return to the world of Reduce, Reuse, Recycle.

This time it’s the Reuse lobby that’s in cahoots with the Energy lobby. They’ve convinced people to become to packrats in the name of saving things to be reuse in a someday that will never come.
Where do we put all of those things waiting for their second day in the sun? In closets and basements and attics!
And what do those spaces do? They force us to buy larger homes and spend money and resources regulating the temperature of those places.
And what does that use up? That's right ENERGY.

So instead of waiting to reuse, we need to use those things up now. Like the bath oils you got for Christmas—-don’t wait to use them some day, use them tonight! You know that fun giftbag you've been saving for someone you want to impress? Stop staving it, use it up the very next time you need to send a present.

Not only do you take control back from the Washington lobbyists, you turn up the degree of luxury in your life. By saving “the good stuff” for the future you’re living as if you deserve to just make do in the present!

Take control! Take that stuff out of storage and use it up today!
